Director of Strategic Accounts - Southeast
Location: Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area
The Director of Strategic Accounts will be part of a dedicated national field team responsible for advancing ZILRETTA adoption at large regional health systems including IDNs, large physician orthopedic group practices and hospitals. This individual works closely with sales, medical and market access leadership to create and execute plans.

Develop strategic business plans with innovative solutions that support the adoption and use of ZILRETTA.
Understands the current landscape for each target customer, stakeholders that will influence osteoarthritis of the knee treatment decisions, product acquisition and formulary placement requirements.
Maintains a current profile of the health system, influential contacts, operations and goals/business drivers.
Identifies customer solutions and partnership opportunities utilizing all Flexion available resources.
Builds and maintains a of knowledge of healthcare policy, health plan trends, reimbursement dynamics.
Establish strong internal and external relationships for successful account management.
Creates effective cross functional plans and tactics across all Flexion field teams.
Understands goals, what is important to each stakeholder and values a team approach. Effectively aligns the team with goals, clearly communicates expectations and roles, encourages and acknowledges accomplishments.
Mobilizes Flexion teams to build product advocacy and to pull through favorable product decisions.
Understands and effectively communicates the value of ZILRETTA to customers.
Delivers results while adhering to Flexion policies and pharmaceutical compliance guidelines.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or MHA preferred
10 years of experience working on a pharmaceutical/biotech commercial team.
High level of pharmaceutical business acumen.
Ideal candidate will be located in Atlanta, North Carolina, Florida
The ability to travel 70% of the time
Proven success in account management with health system customers – e.g. payer, large provider group, hospital, IDN.
Talent for enlisting others’ support around shared objectives and goals. Ability to build strong relationships and trust with colleagues and customers that result in goal achievement.
Established skill set in project management with internal cross functional teams and customers.
Deep knowledge of the US health care system, operations, reimbursement and customer economics.
Advanced knowledge of promotional compliance requirements for pharmaceutical drugs.
This individual must demonstrate a previous track record of adherence to corporate compliance policies.
