Duchenne Account Manager

Sarepta Therapeutics is looking for highly accomplished, performance driven Duchenne Account Manager (DAM) to be part of an exciting opportunity for a new class of drugs to treat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare life-threatening pediatric disease. These elite individuals must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, drive for results, understand market dynamics, demonstrate excellent judgment, and be motivated by the desire to improve patients' lives. Incumbent must live within the Midwest Territory - North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri.
Primary Responsibilities Include
Promote safe and effective use of eteplirsen, in accordance with the product label and with company training and policies
Stay current on the DMD environment; maintain in-depth knowledge of disease, local drivers, treatment and referral patterns, key account profiles, influence patterns, reimbursement, and barriers to optimal care
Communicate disease and product knowledge to healthcare professional customers, and working with local patient organizations and experts to ensure appropriate patient diagnosis and access to care
Ensure appropriate resource allocation to meet customer needs and address gaps in DMD understanding and care
Work collaboratively across functional areas to achieve common goals and address issues
Attend and participate in meetings, and take on projects and other duties, as requested by management.
Exercises sound judgment and adheres to relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies
Education And Skills Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited school required, MBA preferred
6-8 years of field experience in biotech industry, preferably in orphan diseases
Neuromuscular, Pediatric Neurology or other specialty experience preferred
Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments
Excellent contextual selling skills with proven record of performance (consistently in the top 10% of sales force)
Demonstrates passion for improving DMD patient care delivery and strong customer orientation and insight
Demonstrates team-based skills and is able to network across boundaries
Embraces and adopts new technologies and techniques
Highly competent in a multitude of IT capabilities to support the business needs
Demonstrate active listening skills as a springboard for creating relevant value to customers and DMD stakeholders
Product launch experience highly desired
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Embraces continuous learning/seeks knowledge
Valid driver’s license and in good standing
Ability to travel up to 60%.
