Associate Director, US Payer Marketing

Job Description:


As a part of our world class commercial team, this position is responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of strategic and tactical initiatives supporting the goal of obtaining optimal payer coverage and patient access. In addition, this role will work to ensure allergists understand how to access AR101 through its authorized list of distributors and work closely with the channel strategy and patient support services team. In this role he/she will work cross functionally to understand the mindset of the HCP and key office stakeholders, as well as payer customer, and develop materials that will ensure appropriate access to and pull through of AR101 in HCP offices.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Understands and monitors payer pharmaceutical coverage policies and trends.

  • Leads the development of insights, strategies and tactics for reimbursement, distribution and access of AR101 including, but not limited to: coverage dashboards for the US Market Access Strategic Accounts team as well as other and access-related sales tools and field messaging.

  • Develops and implements the brand Plan of Action related to patient support services, patient assistance programs, and other office prescription pull-through materials.

  • Leads the development of payer-facing promotional materials for the US Market Access Strategic Accounts team.

  • Works with the US Market Access Strategic Accounts team and US Marketing to develop messaging to the Commercial Field team regarding key payer wins through Field Direction Memos.

  • Collaborates with Commercial Training & Development and US Marketing to ensure market access materials and messaging are incorporated and pulled through in training materials and meetings for the Commercial Field team.

  • Works closely with the entire US Market Access team to ensure coordinated efforts in the execution of payer, pricing, reimbursement, distribution and patient support strategies.

  • Achieves expense targets for areas of responsibility; lead expense budget tracking and contribute to budget planning.

  • Gains approval for US payer marketing materials through internal review process and ensures US payer marketing activities follow regulatory and legal requirements.

  • Effectively manages multiple agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and allocated budget.

Preferred Experience, Special Skills, Knowledge:

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred, 8+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience, at least three years payer or access related marketing.

  • Blend of both small biotech and large pharma company experience with expertise related to the planning and implementation of launch initiatives for new products.

  • Experience in supporting and managing key strategic and tactical executions for US marketing efforts.

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly visible and dynamic environment is critical; able to work effectively with ambiguity and incomplete information.

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).

  • Excellent leadership and management skills.

  • Ability to influence and lead across functions; operate in a matrix environment.

  • Experience in allergy or immunology markets a plus.
