Product Manager, Global Thalassemia Marketing

This product manager will partner with other marketers, cross-functional partners, and external agencies on the creation and implementation of disease awareness and branded initiatives to ensure EU region and US are set up for launch success. This is a challenging and exciting role that will provide a breadth of marketing experiences (branded, unbranded, patient, HCP, digital), working on the cutting edge of science and bringing lifechanging therapy to the thalassemia community.

About The Role

  • Translate strategy into tactical execution by leading the development of promotional materials from concept through the review process to implementation

  • Promotional materials to support launch execution and label expansions in EU and US

  • Active participation in congress planning team and related asset development for Congresses, supporting bluebird bio’s commitment to thalassemia community

  • Budget lead: Support the thalassemia marketing team in ensuring investment to plan/ on budget performance. Support annual budgeting process and team monthly accrual process with finance

  • Global asset portal owner: own and update global asset portal to ensure regional marketing teams have access to the most current brand materials and support

  • Support annual brand/tactical planning process

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science and / or business and 3-5 years of relevant brand experience (Marketing, Sales, Market Research, and Analytics) with a minimum requirement of 2 years in a marketing role in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry

  • Track record of strong project/budget management and results orientation, ability to work under pressure, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced launch environment

  • Experience leading promotional materials through the Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) review process to support compliance execution of marketing materials is required

  • Can foster strong relationships with agency partners and internal stakeholders

  • Proactive team player with ability to perform in fast paced environments collaborate cross functionally

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
