Sr. Product Manager/Associate Director – HCP Marketing
Location: Carlsbad, CA, US
The individual will be involved in the development, market analysis and implementation of the strategic brand plan for EPIDIOLEX®. The Senior Manager/Associate Director will collaborate with other functional areas and external agencies to develop and implement product strategies and tactics that are responsive to customer needs and consistent with market opportunities.
Lead, develop and manage brand strategies and tactical execution of marketing initiatives. Communicate brand strategies and performance regularly to senior management.
Help develop and implement the product annual brand plan in support of commercial goals.
Develop and execute against promotional strategy and tactical plans targeting US-based Neurologists and other HCPs involved with the treatment of rare and severe epilepsies.
Analyze market data and trends to provide detailed strategy recommendations.
Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) to develop effective working relationships as needed to ensure relevance of marketed strategies and tactics.
Liaise with other internal departments, including Sales, Sales Training, Market Access, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Compliance, and IS personnel to achieve brand goals and objectives.
Develop materials through collaboration with external agencies and internal partners in support of brand efforts.
Partner with the field sales force to understand resource gaps and opportunities through building strong relationships and participating in field rides.
Identify and manage advertising and promotion budgets; develop and monitor relevant metrics to ensure program success. Communicates performance tracking as necessary.
Manage vendor contract processing (purchasing requisitions, invoices, and approvals).
Champion promotional materials through the promotional review process.
Bachelor’s degree in related field, MBA a plus.
3-5 years of pharmaceutical product marketing experience. Relevant industry experience in other roles (such as Sales leadership, Market Research, Advertising Agency, etc.) and/or healthcare segments may allow for flexibility in required years of marketing experience.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing areas including product positioning, brand plan development, market research, operations and launch planning.
Neurology/CNS experience with a focus in epilepsy a plus.
Experience in managing multiple projects and vendors.
Proven leadership abilities working within a cross-functional team.
Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills required.
Must be adaptable and able to work well, and relate effectively with people at all organization levels.
Available for overnight travel within the US, up to 30%.
