Sarepta Therapeutics is looking for highly accomplished, performance driven Duchenne Account Manager (DAM) to be part of an exciting opportunity for a new class of drugs to treat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare life threatening pediatric disease. These elite individuals must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, drive for results, understand market dynamics, demonstrate excellent judgment, and be motivated by the desire to improve patients' lives. Incumbent must live within the Northwest Territory - Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Promote safe and effective use of eteplirsen, in accordance with the product label and with company training and policies

  • Stay current on the DMD environment; maintain in-depth knowledge of disease, local drivers, treatment and referral patterns, key account profiles, influence patterns, reimbursement, and barriers to optimal care

  • Serve as expert on infusion education to educate patients, parents, and providers; provide training and work closely with practice/office managers

  • Communicate disease and product knowledge to healthcare professional customers, and working with local patient organizations and experts to ensure appropriate patient diagnosis and access to care

  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation to meet customer needs and address gaps in DMD understanding and care

  • Work collaboratively across functional areas to achieve common goals and address issues

  • Attend and participate in meetings, and take on projects and other duties, as requested by management.

  • Exercises sound judgment and adheres to relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies

Education and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited school required, MBA preferred

  • 6-8 years of field experience in biotech industry, preferably in orphan diseases

  • Neuromuscular, Pediatric Neurology or other specialty experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments

  • Excellent contextual selling skills with proven record of performance (consistently in the top 10% of sales force)

  • Demonstrates passion for improving DMD patient care delivery and strong customer orientation and insight

  • Demonstrates team-based skills and is able to network across boundaries

  • Embraces and adopts new technologies and techniques

  • Highly competent in a multitude of IT capabilities to support the business needs

  • Demonstrate active listening skills as a springboard for creating relevant value to customers and DMD stakeholders

  • Product launch experience highly desired

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Embraces continuous learning/seeks knowledge

  • Valid driver’s license and in good standing

  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
