Marketing Director


Job Description:


He/she will be a key member of the Global Marketing Team responsible for outbound marketing, developing the strategy and building the team and playbook for executing external-facing programs aimed at presenting Repligen and its product portfolio outward to the industry. The position requires the ability to develop strongly differentiated product, platform and solutions positioning and messaging. This role reports to the Vice-President of Marketing and will be based in Waltham, MA.

  • Lead Marketing strategy development including go-to-market plans, value propositions, battlecards, presentations, content development, customer segmentation, new product introductions

  • Build and manage a team of outbound Marketing Managers to support the different Repligen businesses

  • Write, develop and/or edit content for whitepapers and collateral, develop sales enablement tools, blogs and thought leadership pieces, ad copy and other product-related outbound marketing materials

  • Champion the Repligen brand, direct branding strategy and implementation, product naming

  • Track and analyze worldwide trends, primary and secondary market research

  • Conduct bi-annual NPS survey of industry brand awareness and marketing effectiveness

  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys

  • Help lead, plan and execute the Repligen global roadshows: curate agenda, build relationships with KOLs

  • Work closely with and be a major contributor to the inbound Marketing team which is responsible for web, social, digital programs aimed at bringing in leads and customers to Repligen

  • Work closely with and be a major contributor to the Marketing operations team which is responsible for events, creative development, marketing communications, regional marketing

  • Work with internal functions and business leaders to align long-and short-term growth strategy

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, marketing and/or product management

  • 12+ years of combined directly relevant experience in marketing or product management within the life sciences industry, Bioprocessing experience a plus

  • Experience managing projects horizontally in a matrixed organization

  • Demonstrated original writing ability, blog experience a plus

  • High proficiency with PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite

  • Creative energy and strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to credibly engage with technical and sales communities

  • Comfortable interacting with executive suite, KOLs and being the face of the company at externally sponsored events

Physical Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally (25-35%)
